Pop music is still relevant to study here in Brazil. Many people confuse Pop with Dance.
Pop music does not present a specific pace, but presents a standardized set of values to be followed upon a stage. For example, the Pop singers, mostly presented using choreographed movements and with more public participation.
The Pop artists, whose main objective is to remain at the top of the charts around the world. The album of a pop artist can contain several musical styles and various artistic influences, for example, Shakira has already used influences from Arabic music, bossa nova, Electronica and dance.
On The album The Fame, Lady Gaga, you find some songs in the genre R & B, but the majority of their songs are Dance. Just like Madonna, who've used up Country influences on their albums, but always focusing on Dance.
A lot of people who don't know what Pop, says Beyoncé is not a Pop singer, but Beyonce has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and merges on their albums various styles, but with a certain expertise in R & b.
Even Michael Jackson, King of POP, has always used R & B style in their music.

Although Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, with a total land mass larger than the U.S.A,
most people are familiar with two of its musical forms: Samba and Bossa Nova. But there is much,
much more than that. Music plays a major role in Brazilian life and Brazilian's music is as wide as the
country itself and as diverse as its people.
Most of Brazilians like international music, American bands or singers. I mean, Brazillian teenagers are not
very different from American teenagers, they like the same kind of music and they watch the same kind of
movies/TV series.
Music is present in the life of many people, but the teenagers are who more like passing hours listening
to their favourite songs, but what are the musical tastes of young people?
Each person has his taste and favourite music style. Lots of teenagers prefer to listen to actual
bands, but there is who prefer old bands, like rock, punk rock, heavy metal, etc.
